Opened in August 2012, "l'Escale du vieux Chapus" is located in Bourcefranc le Chapus between Marennes and  Oléron island, in an old quarter of oyster farmers. It has an unobstructed view of the bay of Chapus as well as the island of Oléron or Fort Boyard. You have direct access to the beach at the foot of the Escale du vieux Chapus.

It is labeled Clé vacances (3 keys), Vélodyssée® and home cycling © and tourism and handicap since April 2014.

In 2015, L'escale du vieux Chapus was awarded the Grand Prix Charente Maritime tourisme.

It is one of the few guest rooms or guesthouse to offer all of these services.

L'Escale du vieux Chapus is located around a unique site that has remained authentic over time. It is both calm and wild, in direct contact with the natural elements. This bay hosts old boats and old oyster farms.

In the Escale, we wanted to recreate the atmosphere of the old "cabane" of oyster farmers and fishermen, with all modern comforts (free and unlimited Wifi).

It is located in a heated outbuilding close to our house and consists of :

- A bedroom with a bed in 140 and a wardrobe;

- A bathroom with shower and toilet;

- A room to be lived with a corner cooks and a corner living room.

It is designed for two people.

It is open all over the year.
